Who we are
Fountain Stream (fountainstream.com and the Fountain Stream mobile apps) is the audio and video streaming service of The Eternal Glorious Fountain Ministry (EGFM), operated by Word of Righteousness Ventures ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use Fountain Stream, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what you can do about it.

What data we collect
Your account. When you sign up we collect your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, gender, date of birth and profile picture. Sign-in is handled by EGFM accounts (accounts.egfm.org).
What you listen to. We record which messages and songs you play, how far you got in a message (so you can resume where you stopped), what you download, favourite or add to playlists, and when. We use this to resume playback, to show your library and recently played items, to suggest messages and songs, and to understand which content blesses people most.
RabbAI. When you ask RabbAI a question or create a study guide, we store your question and the answer so you can see your history. Questions are processed by an AI service (see "Where your data is sent"). Please don't include sensitive personal information in your questions.
Donations. When you sow a seed we record the amount, currency, date, reference and whether the payment succeeded. Card and bank details are entered on our payment provider's page and are never seen or stored by us. See the Donation Terms.
Fountain Stream Community and Radio chat. Your handle, profile, follows, listening activity you choose to share, notes, comments, replies, reactions and reports. See the Community Privacy Notice.
Device and technical data. Your IP address, browser or device type, app version, and error logs, used to keep the service secure and working. If you allow notifications on the mobile app, we store a device token to send them.
Cookies and local storage
We use a small number of cookies on fountainstream.com, all needed for the site to work:
- Sign-in cookies hold your session (access and refresh tokens and when they expire) so you stay signed in. They are removed when you sign out or the session ends.
- Your device also keeps some data locally, such as your RabbAI history on this device and player preferences. You can clear it from your browser settings.
We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Embedded content from other websites
Some pages show content from other websites, for example videos, live streams or links in announcements. Embedded content behaves as if you had visited the other website, and that website may collect data about you, use cookies and track your interaction with it, especially if you have an account and are signed in there.
Who we share your data with
We don't sell your personal data, and we don't share it for advertising.
We share data only with:
- Service providers who host and run Fountain Stream for us under contract: Google (Firebase for app notifications and analytics, and Google Cloud's AI services for RabbAI), Amazon Web Services (storage and delivery of audio, video and images) and DigitalOcean (databases and servers).
- Flutterwave, our payment provider, to process donations.
- EGFM, for ministry follow-up when you register for a meeting or event, or ask to be contacted.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our members or others.
How long we retain your data
- Your account and library (favourites, playlists, playback progress): until you delete your account.
- Listening history used for suggestions: up to 24 months, then deleted or made anonymous.
- RabbAI history: until you delete it or your account.
- Donation records: 6 years, to meet accounting and legal obligations.
- Technical logs: up to 90 days.
- Community content: as set out in the Community Privacy Notice (most of it is deleted automatically after 7 days).
What rights you have over your data
You can view and update your profile at any time in the app. You can also ask us to:
- send you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct data that is wrong;
- delete your account and personal data, except data we must keep for administrative, legal or security reasons (such as donation records);
- stop or limit how we use your data, or object to it.
To make a request, email info@egfm.org. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
Where your data is sent
Your data is stored and processed by the service providers above, whose data centres may be outside Nigeria (for example in the United States or Europe). Where data leaves Nigeria, we rely on our providers' contractual and security commitments to protect it as the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 requires.
Children
Fountain Stream is for everyone, but you must be at least 13 to create an account. If you are under 18, please use Fountain Stream with the permission of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will show the date of the latest version at the top of this page, and tell you in the app when a change matters.
