Community Terms

1. About these terms

Fountain Stream is operated by Word of Righteousness Ventures ("we", "us"), for The Eternal Glorious Fountain Ministry (EGFM). These Community Terms apply when you use Fountain Stream Community (profiles, following, feeds, notes, replies and reactions) and Fountain Radio live chat. They add to the general Fountain Stream Terms of Use.

By clicking Join Community, you agree to these terms and to the Community Privacy Notice.

2. Who can join

  • You need a Fountain Stream account and must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian.
  • You may have one Community profile. Don't create profiles for other people or pretend to be someone else.

3. Your profile and handle

  • Your handle (@name), display name, profile picture, bio, follower and following counts, and recent activity are visible to other Community members.
  • Handles must not impersonate people, ministries or organisations, or be offensive. We may reserve handles, or change or reclaim a handle that breaks these terms.
  • You can change your handle once every 30 days.

4. Following

Anyone in Community can follow you without your approval, and you can follow anyone. You can mute someone to hide them from your feed, or block them to stop them following you or seeing your profile.

5. Listening activity

If Share what I listen to is on, your followers see when you listen to a message for more than 10 minutes or a song for more than 1 minute. You can turn this off at any time in your profile, use private listening in the player, or delete any activity from your profile. Listening on Fountain Radio is never shared.

6. Notes, replies and reactions

  • When you post a note ("What blessed me about this message"), a reply or a reaction, you keep ownership of what you wrote. You give us permission to store it and show it to Community members inside Fountain Stream for as long as it's available.
  • Everything in the feed is temporary. Activities, notes, and the replies and reactions on them are deleted automatically 7 days after they're posted. Radio chat comments are deleted 24 hours after the last reply or reaction. Don't rely on Community to keep anything.
  • Limits: notes are up to 150 characters, and you can have up to 3 notes on the same message at a time.

7. Community guidelines

Fountain Stream is a Christian community built around the Word. Please be kind, honest and respectful. Don't post:

  1. Abuse, harassment, threats or bullying, including against ministers, hosts or other members.
  2. Hate speech or content attacking people for who they are.
  3. Sexual or sexually suggestive content.
  4. Spam, scams, advertising or repeated self-promotion, or links meant to mislead.
  5. Content that mocks the faith or knowingly spreads false teaching to deceive others.
  6. Other people's private information, or anything illegal.
  7. Content you don't have the right to share.

These guidelines also apply to Fountain Radio live chat.

8. Reporting and moderation

  • Members with an account older than 3 months can report notes, replies, comments and profiles.
  • When several members report something, it may be hidden while a moderator reviews it. Reported radio chat comments and note replies that aren't reviewed within a few hours may be removed automatically. Reported notes stay hidden until a moderator decides.
  • Moderators may remove content, and may stop you from commenting, posting notes or using Community, for a time or permanently. You'll see the restriction and when it ends where the action is unavailable.

9. Verified members

Badges such as Minister, Host, Moderator and Trusted are awarded by Fountain Stream administrators. They can't be requested or bought, and may be removed.

10. Seeds and the heart badge

Donations ("sowing a seed") are voluntary gifts to Word of Righteousness Ventures, handled under our Donation Terms. A completed donation by a signed-in member shows a heart badge on their profile picture for 24 hours. The badge never shows the amount. Donations don't buy any other feature, ranking or treatment.

11. Announcements

Your feed includes announcements from Fountain Stream and EGFM (events, programmes and similar), marked Announcement, and suggestions of messages and songs based on what you and others listen to.

12. Leaving Community

You can leave Community at any time from your profile settings. Your profile, follows, activities, notes, replies and reactions are deleted, and your handle becomes available to others after 30 days. Your Fountain Stream account isn't affected. We may close a Community profile that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, you'll be asked to agree to the new version the next time you open Community.

14. No warranty, and our responsibility

Community is provided as it is. Notes, replies and comments are the views of the members who post them, not of EGFM. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for what members post, though we will act on reports. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction over any dispute.
